 **DeRuyter SWIM Program UPDATE**
This year, in order to keep a swim program for our kids, we have had to make a few changes, please read the following carefully and get in touch with me (Juanita) with any questions.
1.  Change of Start Date - The program will start July 16 instead of July 9
2.  We had to change the times of each of our groups
Group 1 - Start time to swim will be 12:30, pick ups to start around Noon depending on the Route
Group 2 - Start time to swim is 1:30, pick ups will be around 12:45 starting in the Cuyler area.

3.  The Swim Lesson part of the program has had to be changed due to lack of lifeguards, we don't have enough to continue this year with lessons, but we can have a recreation swim program, where all water safety rules will ALWAYS apply!  The two lifeguards have all the certifications to provide lessons, water front safety, water rescue, etc, but we just don't have enough.  So we will have the two lifeguards plus another adult on shore just to have another set of eyes for water safety.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, It was either creatively come up with some sort of swim program for the kids to still be able to socialize with their friends while learning water safety and having fun in the lake, or no program at all this year.  I hope you support us and the changes we had to make this year.
PLEASE - If you know of anyone who may be interested in becoming a lifeguard for our program for next year, please let me know!!!  This is such a great program for the kids, both DeRuyter & Fabius.
