Welcome to the Town of DeRuyter!
The Town of DeRuyter is located in the heart of Central
New York on State Route 13 in the southwest corner of Madison County. The Village of DeRuyter is about 20 miles northeast
of Cortland and about 30 miles south of Syracuse. The east branch of the Tioughnioga River flows through the Town. DeRuyter
Lake which is about 2 miles long and 3/4's of a mile wide at its widest point, is located 3 miles north of the Village.
